Brian Morgan

Pastor of Adult Ministries

[email protected]
Brian was born in Oregon, raised in Washington and has also lived in North Carolina, Illinois, California, South Carolina and Virginia. Amazing how one man gets around! We think he has been sufficiently southernized. :) But seriously, at the heart of his life and family is Jesus Christ. He was rescued and changed by the love of God found in Jesus Christ while in high school and knew he wanted to spend the rest of his life telling others about this incredible grace and love found in Him.

His first two years in college Brian attended Roanoke College and went to Church of the Holy Spirit from 1991 - 1992. That is where he met Quigg and where he first began to be intentionally discipled into a growing follower of Jesus Christ. After Roanoke, Brian and his wife, Beth, met at Appalachian State where Brian got his college degree. Beth and Brian got married and headed off to seminary.

In 2002, Brian received his first calling and was ordained a Deacon and then a Priest while serving as an Assistant Priest and Youth Pastor in Concord, NC at All Saint’s Episcopal Church. Their daughter Hannah was born while in seminary and their son Noah was born there in Concord. They had a wonderful five years serving and discipling students, families and people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.

In 2007, the Morgans moved to Mt. Pleasant where Brian served for 9.5 years at St. Andrew’s Church~Anglican. Brian oversaw the small group ministry, the premarital mentoring process, and preached and officiated at regular Sunday services. In 2014, Brian took on Men’s Ministry and handed off the small group ministry.

What gets Brian most excited about Church of the Holy Spirit is the mission of making healthy disciples in Jesus Christ and equipping and discipling those healthy disciples who will in turn partner with God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit to grow more healthy disciples.

Brian enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, fly-fishing and almost anything outdoors. Give him a call and he would love to help you find a Life Group and get connected at CHS.
