We want to welcome to our staff our new Missions Coordinator, Shannon Nunnally.
As we continue to grow in depth and width in our missions here at Church of the Holy Spirit, it became apparent that we needed help to make this happen. Thankfully, God opened the door for one of our very own members to come on board part time as a new staff member.
Shannon Nunnally and her husband, Will, have attended CHS for over 20 years. They have 3 grown children; Adam 28, Logan 23, and Madeline 19. Over the years, she has served in various volunteer capacities at CHS, but this will be her first time serving on staff.
Shannon has worked in education the past 13 years, both in the local public schools and at Faith Christian School. Her educational background consists of a degree in Christian Ministries from Bluefield College and a post-graduate degree in Elementary Education from Mary Baldwin University. Shannon has served on two mission trips to Rwanda, has two Compassion children whom she has met with twice, and serves in helping refugees in the Roanoke Valley.
As is the case for many in our church, these powerful, ongoing relationships with her Compassion children have sparked Shannon’s heart for spreading the Gospel, ministering to the poor, and serving others joyfully. In addition to her heart for missions, Shannon enjoys spending time with her husband, paddle boarding, and walking.
We are so excited to have Shannon join our staff and look forward to seeing God use her to further our CHS missions both here locally and globally.
Next time you see Shannon, ask her how you can help get more involved in our CHS missions here in the Roanoke Valley and the world.
