Y’all already know about how Mary Wynne and I are renovating our house. You’ve no doubt seen it all on Instagram, along with adorable pictures of my kids. You see the progress and excitement. You witness the transformation and you think, “Wow, that looks easy and fun!” What you don’t see is the pressure release valve on my radiator exploding and water shooting out of it like a fire hydrant, or me going to the doctor to get stitches. And you DEFINITELY don’t see me late in the night, in bed, staring at the ceiling with a pit in my stomach and my mind racing with anxiety over a hundred thousand things… You might not be working on your house like me, but I bet some of y’all can relate to that last part. A sort of stress that you can bury in the business of the day, but one that crawls out from beneath your bed at night. It’s irrationally haunting, and as the sleepless night drags on your anxiety compounds.

80% of Americans are in debt. 80% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. You can find all kinds of figures, charts, and statistics that point to the reality that we don’t handle our money very well!! Numbers are nice, but that anxious sleepless night is a lot more telling. Are you in debt? Are you looking to learn how to handle your money responsibly in a manner that glorifies God? Are you planning for the future? Are you doing well, but don’t know how to budget? Are you tired of fighting with your spouse over money?

Are you looking for financial peace?

“Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” -1 Peter 5:6-7

My invitation to you is to come and see. Join us for Financial Peace University this fall. Ignore the little voice in your head that is telling you a reason not to do this. FPU is a safe place. We learn together, pray together, grow together, and walk together into financial peace. I know you want it.
