It has been so good for my soul to be worshipping together these last few weeks. Despite the masks and the distancing, I love being with you. But I miss so many of you who cannot make it and I miss your delightful children. That’s why I am so excited to tell you about two big changes that begin this Sunday, June 12, as we creep back towards normalcy. You need to sign up for both in order to participate.
First, we will once again be offering childcare for kindergartners and younger.
We will be complying with Virginia state orders as closely as is possible with a bunch of wiggly kids 6 and under. As you know, “social distancing” isn’t in the vocabulary of small children, so we will navigate this as best as we can. We have protocols in place to minimize the potential spread of germs and keep your kiddos safe while you worship upstairs.
Please drop off your (healthy!) kids outside at the door nearest the playground (under the ramp.) Oh, and please do not bring in any outside toys. Diaper bags, sippie cups and bottles need to be clearly marked with your child’s name on them.
Second, we are restarting Tim Henderson’s Sunday School class.
It will take place in the Sanctuary at 10 am, immediately following the first service, and we will continue to care for your kids so you can enjoy and participate in Tim’s class. One important detail is you cannot come to either his class or drop off your kids at 10, unless you have been here since 9 because there is no opportunity to disinfect between worship and Sunday School.
Please join us this Sunday. We cannot wait to be with you 😊
Love and blessings,
