We love our city and are committed to be the ministry of Jesus in mind, body and Spirit. We want to holistically invest in our poor, provide discipleship and be a channel of healing and restoration in our community. Through meaningful and committed relational investments, we partner with our neighbors in the Roanoke Valley to achieve this purpose. Pregnancy isn’t always expected and can often come at a difficult time; that’s where Blue Ridge Women’s Center comes in.  We offer help for pregnancy and reproductive loss in a Christ-centered environment that stresses being safe, confidential, & non-judgmental with services that are at no cost to our clients.

Camp Braveheart is a Christ-centered camp designed to meet the unique emotional and spiritual needs of youth who are walking the journey of grief after the death of a loved one. During this week of camp, these “over-looked” grievers learn how to express their grief in healthy ways and coping skills to adjust to their “new normal.” For rising 3rd through 12th grade students;

In every community, there are children and families at a point of crisis who need help. In those same communities, there are churches and people who care and want to take action. CarePortal equips churches and ministries with a heart to help local children and families in crisis. Backed by technology, training and support, each church in the CarePortal network commits to pray, give and serve. Find more information at

Our Mission: To provide full-time chaplains in all of Virginia’s state adult and juvenile prison facilities.

Habitat for Humanity envisions a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Seeking to put God’s love into action, Habitat for Humanity brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope.

The mission of the Kairos Prison Ministry is to share the transforming love and forgiveness of Jesus Christ to impact the hearts and lives of incarcerated men, women and youth, as well as their families, to become loving and productive citizens of their communities.

Kairos Outside offers a comfortable, non-judging retreat for women to support each other as they journey through the incarceration of a friend or relative.

CHS is partnered with Lucy Addison Middle School as part of the Roanoke City Schools Congregations in Action program. Lucy Addison is filled with great students, staff and culture. Restoring Hope Roanoke exists to equip and assist Gospel-believing local churches to build helpful and loving relationships with our neighbors in need and together to discover true hope in Jesus Christ and His Church.  Our current areas of focus include Jobs for Life, a church-based program discipling men and women in a Biblical view of work, internationals ministry consulting and networking, and supporting church-based English to speakers of other languages classes.

With the mission statement “helping hurting people in Jesus’ name,” the Rescue Mission of Roanoke is a comprehensive crisis intervention center for men, women, and children. We offer life-saving services aimed at transformation and restoration.

Straight Street is an ALL CITY outreach serving teens from across the Roanoke Valley, seeking a place to know they are loved and to have some fun too.  It is their goal through serving, sharing and caring that teens will come to know and serve Jesus Christ.  Straight Street provides a number of programs from a drop in center, outreach for teen parents, chaplain service at the detention center and partnering with schools to serve homeless teens and families in crisis.

Street Ransom is a ministry of Straight Street which empowers the lives of those vulnerable to and affected by sexual exploitation. They educate the public about sexual exploitation and trafficking through prevention education and professional trainings. There is a major lack of resources for those affected by sexual exploitation in our state and nation. To meet the need in our area, they provide holistic, trauma-informed support that victims and survivors deserve.

For more than 40 years, Young Life has been ministering to teenagers in the Roanoke Valley. Young Life’s mission is to introduce adolescents to Jesus Christ and help them grow in their faith. Staff and volunteer leaders invest in the discipleship of those who have made a commitment to follow Jesus, and teach them how to give their lives away for Jesus’ sake.
