Men’s Life Groups
Early morning get togethers at coffee shops around the Valley for Bible study, prayer, and fellowship. Most meet before work and spend time going through different Bible study material. Easy to find a group that fits your schedule as there are groups almost every day of the week.
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress” ~James 1:27
The CHS Handyman’s Ministry is up and running. If you enjoy working with your hands, have the gift of “helps,” or are looking to have some fun working/hanging out with other guys, then this ministry is for you!! We meet in the CHS parking lot at 9 AM on the last Saturday of each month.
For more information or to be included on the “helpers and crew chiefs” email list, contact Bill Rimer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
You don’t have to be a great softball/baseball player to join the team. Come on out every spring for the camaraderie and fellowship.
If you are interested in playing, please contact Brian Morgan at Brian@ChsRoanoke.com for more information on practice and game information.
Each year we have Men’s ADVANCE, which is a retreat where we leave town for a weekend filled with fellowship, teaching, prayer, and fun activities.
For the past few ADVANCE weekends, we have gone to Giles County to a 400-acre farm for a weekend of tent camping, four-wheeling, fishing, kayaking, skeet shooting, biking, motorcycle rides, hiking, corn hole, and just chilling out. In the evenings, we share stories and study scripture alongside the campfire. Men’s ADVANCE usually takes place in the late summer or early fall so check the bulletin and enews for the next date and location.
