We are created for community, with others and with God in Jesus Christ.

Find your new community of fellowship in Roanoke, Virginia and grow as a disciple of Jesus.

Life Groups are the place where relationships flourish, where faith is grown, love is experienced, and ministry is practiced. At Church of the Holy Spirit, Life Groups are the place where we do life together with other Christians who are growing into healthy disciples in Jesus Christ. We know that deep spiritual growth happens best in circles, not rows.  Groups meet weekly in homes, coffee shops, at the church for Bible study, prayer, relationship and mission.

When God brings us into a relationship with Himself through Jesus Christ, He brings us into family.  God made us for family, for relationships that last a lifetime, in fact they can last for eternity.

Spiritual growth happens best in circles not in rows. If you only attend a Sunday service at Church of the Holy Spirit, you will probably never really grow fully as God would have for you to grow in Christ. We are made to meet in small groups, smaller groups of other Christians to grow in our discipleship journey.  Life Groups are places centered around Jesus Christ, relationships flourish, where faith is grown, love is experienced, and spiritual gifts are matured for mission and ministry.

Most Life Groups are a gathering of 5-15 people that meet weekly for prayer, bible study, fellowship and meaningful friendships. Our Life Groups meet at homes, coffee shops, the church, restaurants, etc.  Every group has a leader or two that help bring the CHS mission of Healthy Disciples making Healthy Disciples alive on a weekly basis.

Jesus Himself has his own Life Group in a way. He had his 12 disciples that he poured His life into as he taught them, served them, prayed with and for them. Acts 2:42ff shows a clear picture of how the early church met in a 1st century version of a Life Group.

Life Groups at CHS are the heartbeat of what it means to be a member and healthy disciples in Jesus Christ. We are called to be in community in Christ and Life Groups are the best way to live into this gift of community.
