CarePortal
CHS has been a partnering church with CarePortal since 2020, helping vulnerable children and families in the Roanoke Valley.
CarePortal exists to help vulnerable children and families for the purpose of coming alongside parents or other family members to help keep children from having to enter the foster care system. Through the work of Kim Motley, CHS receives requests primarily from the Department of Social Services caseworkers to make us aware of how we can help.

Requests accepted by Kim are then emailed to a team of CHS volunteers who have expressed a desire to help. Many requests are met by these volunteers. For requests over $500, Kim has a team of 3 other church members who help her decide if she should accept the request. The larger requests can be met from the CAREPORTAL DESIGNATED FUND which is fully funded by church parisioners. Donations to this fund can be made by clicking on the button below.

When items are delivered by at least 2 volunteers, we have the opportunity to share with them the love of Christ and to pray for/with them…
