Hope everyone has had a great start to their summer! As you receive this, we’re at Camp Booyah with 29 kids and 6 leaders. Please pray for our trip!
But that’s not even the reason I’m writing this Enews. We are excited to announce that Becky will be stepping down as Female Student Ministry Associate to spend more time at home with our son, Liam. We’re so grateful that she’ll get to spend more precious hours with him as he grows and also grateful for her role at CHS for the past three years. Don’t worry too much though, Becky will still be around plenty leading her life group and hanging out with girls. She just loves the kids too much to dip out entirely!
And I’ve got even more good news! Whitney Gibson will be stepping up to fill her position, and we couldn’t be more excited. Whitney was in the class of 2016-2017 Fellows and actually lived with us before Liam was born. She has stayed very involved with our student ministry ever since she came to our church, as a life group leader and discipler. All of this info is shared to say that this transition will be a great, smooth one! We’re happy to have gotten our first candidate- someone who knows us, knows the kids, has a heart for discipleship, but most importantly, loves Jesus.
So, these are happy times, both for my family and for Student Ministry at CHS. Again, we couldn’t be more grateful.
