Restoring Hope Roanoke is partnering with the Roanoke Rescue Mission to offer Jobs for Life classes for 10 Rescue Mission residents this year. Classes will be held at the Mission on Thursday nights from 6 to 8 pm from January 21 until May 13. Currently, 10 men have been identified to participate. They are in need of male volunteers to serve as champions, or mentors, to walk alongside these students as they learn about God’s design for work and their lives. Jobs for Life is a Biblically-based program that helps unemployed and underemployed individuals learn practical skills for work and life, such as interviewing and making resumes, but also focuses on the most important relationship in life – our relationship with God.
Training is provided for all champions. They will follow all recommended health protocols, including wearing masks at all times, and the class will be capped at 10 students.
Anyone interested in volunteering can email email@example.com for more information, or go to www.restoringhoperoanoke.org and click on “What we do” –> “Jobs for Life” to learn more about the program.
