Yep, we are “swinging for the fences” to pay off our entire church mortgage of $600K so we can immediately start giving an additional $343,000 each and every year for decades – much of it matched!
Why? Because the spiritual and physical needs are great; being debt free will allow us to give many significant HAND UPs to the most vulnerable around the world. With the Lord’s help, we can do it. It will be super fun and bring the Lord much glory.

Join Annette and me in giving an “over and above” gift to ADEM. (It will not help to divert our normal giving to ADEM because there would be no net increase.)
HOW TO GIVE
Mail in or put your check in the offering plate on December 24 or Sunday, December 25. Please write ADEM in the memo line.
Place your cash in an envelope with your name and ADEM written on it. Place in the offering plate on December 24 or Sunday, December 25.
A gift of appreciated stocks is a great way to contribute because it saves the giver tax consequences. To give stock, please call Elaine McCauley, our broker at Wells Fargo, at the following number: 540.983.1390. Since this process takes a few days, the stock transfer must be initiated no later than 4pm on December 29th.

To make a gift of insurance or property, please contact Yolanda Childress: 540.772.4915 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

FROM OUR ADMINISTRATOR/CPA: All financial gifts and contributions to CHS (general budget giving and ADEM) are considered charitable giving and are tax-deductible. According to IRS rules, a contribution is recognized on the date of delivery — so, mail must be postmarked no later than December 31, 2016.
All contributors must deliver checks on or by this date in order to claim a charitable contribution deduction for 2016. Checks that are placed in the offering during the first worship service in 2017 will not qualify for a charitable deduction in 2016. However, checks that are written, mailed, and postmarked or put in our mailbox in 2016 will be deductible in 2016, though they may not be received by CHS until 2017.
Please keep in mind that stock gifts take a few days to process and must be initiated a few days prior to year-end. The CHS Accounting Office is here to serve you. If you need help, please contact Yolanda Childress at 540-772-4915 or email@example.com.
