Whether you’ve got a teen in the student ministry or not, it is important to know what we’ve been focusing on at Fusion, our church’s student ministry!

We put a premium on relationship building and biblical, highly-practical teaching
– in fact, we value our relationship building and teaching over any
program we offer. As you may remember from my last update, each Sunday
morning we’ve intentionally progressed through the basics of practical Christian living…we
began by addressing the essential foundation of a personal relationship
with Christ, and then we moved to our role in the body of Christ and
the importance of connection to Christian community.

We’ve spent the last couple of months learning how to be GOOD FOLLOWERS…how to follow Jesus Christ completely and passionately.  And as always, I have written a concise lesson summarization for you to read each week!  Student parents and all others are welcomed and encouraged to read these each week!  You can go here
to see the archive of each and every lesson that’s been taught since I
got here a year-and-a-half ago!  The newest is also introduced each week
in the eNews.

DJBattleAnd while we just closed out another great school year (I’ve included a picture of us celebrating at the Fusion House Party), we are already excited and looking ahead to what is next!  We
are continuing preparations for our urban missions trip to Washington
D.C. from July 28-August 2, 2013.  Part of our preparations is the
continued fund-raising effort for each student to fully fund their
trip!  If you would like to help us with that effort, please send me an email and let me know.  We still have a way to go to fully fund each student’s trip!

But our anticipation of the future doesn’t end with our trip…this
next school year will be one of increased student leadership and
focused, Christ-centered service inside and outside of the church!
Stay tuned to see where God is leading our ministry, and please cover us in your prayers!
