Small groups are a pivotal part of how we make disciples at Church of the Holy Spirit. We call our small groups “Life” groups because we consider them a venue where we “do life” together in Christian community.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.” Acts 2:42
Most Americans lead overloaded lives driven by incredibly hectic schedules. They develop many superficial acquaintances but few genuine, deep friendships. Many feel disconnected and isolated even within their own neighborhoods. Life Groups are environments where people can spend time together, establish authentic relationships, pray, study, serve, and grow.
We encourage every person at CHS to get involved in a Life Group. This is an excellent way to connect deeply with others in the church, equip yourself with the Word, and care for needs of our community. Groups of 8-16 people meet weekly all over the Valley on almost every night of the week. Each group includes praying together, studying scripture, social events, and taking care of each others’ needs. Groups also do service projects together and have childcare options.
